OUR MISSION

The greater Pensacola Bay area community enjoys a rich military heritage and is home to tens of thousands of active duty service members, Veterans and retirees of military service. Gold Star family members are among us and we look to create a place of repose and respect for their sacrifice in the loss of their loved ones. 

 

The Gold Star Families Memorial Project, founded by Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient Hershel “Woody” Williams, places uniform monuments at memorial sites around the country. The monuments recognize the importance of homeland and families for their role in molding and guiding our youth in the direction of service to country and pays tribute to the ultimate sacrifice of the service member as well as the life-long sacrifice of the surviving family members.
